Offering evaluations for Letters of Support for Gender Affirming Care
Tired of living a life that feels less than fulfilling? Never been to therapy before, and you're nervous about trying it out? Struggling to navigate your identity after leaving a religious institution or exploring your sexuality?
The good news is, you’re not alone!
Many of my clients are processing religious trauma, looking for support in their LGBTQ identity, reclaiming or redefining how they embody sex or sexuality, need support coping with ethically non-monogamous relationship complications, or are processing grief due to life transitions. With the most up-to-date evidence-based treatments, I believe in supporting you with an individualized, multi-faceted therapeutic approach to help empower you to live in emotional and mental freedom.
I am trained in Psychodynamic therapy; this means that the healthy, safe, open therapeutic relationship we establish becomes a space for healing t/Traumas and exploring your identity. Humans are relational beings, but, for many of us, those relationships have also come with guilt, judgment, or shame. Through the relationship formed in therapy, we can work together to rewrite this narrative of experience for you; together, we will build the skills to give you a strong sense of self-worth, positive interpersonal boundaries, and the confidence to live a joyful life as your authentic self. Some of the skills that we will work on are components of narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and attachment-based therapy. We are each a tapestry of lived experiences, and I believe that the skills you gain in therapy should be as unique as you are. Therefore, we will work together to build a set of skills that amplifies your strengths and centers your personal goals.
I believe everyone is deserving of a fulfilling life through mental and emotional freedom. As part of the LGBTQ+ community, I am committed to creating a space that is safe and affirming to help you dismantle the beliefs that have caused you shame, anxiety, guilt, or distress. You deserve to feel empowered and proud of your authentic self. I grew up in the “bible belt” of the South, and I have multiple family members still active in the LDS church; I know firsthand how damaging and stifling oppressive systems can be. Therefore, I am also committed to dismantling white supremacy, misogyny, misogyny, and hetero/mono-normative culture, both in my therapeutic work and my personal activism.
We're always looking for compassionate, motivated clinicians to join our team! We believe that healing work begins with supportive, healing communities, so we're committed to creating a sustainable, flexible, and growth-centered workplace.
Your work is vital to those you serve, and we want you to feel valued, supported, and given the tools you need to achieve your career goals!
We welcome both associate licensure and full licensure inquiries for consideration.
